Urgently Needed - New Walk Leaders
Some of our much valued and long-serving walk leaders are retiring and we urgently need to replace them or their walks will have to stop, disappointing lots of keen followers and significantly reducing our programme of activities in the Wrexham area. This is a great opportunity for walk leaders, especially our newer volunteers, who don't yet have their 'own' walk to take a greater part in our activities.
'Rossett - Meet at Burton Weir, Rossett by the underpass (LL12 0JA) at 1.45pm for a 2pm start. Various routes are used each week through fields and on footpaths. Grade A/B, 3 miles over 60 minutes.'
Please can you help? Would you be willing to put your walk leader training to use by taking on the walk as a regular weekly commitment or perhaps take on the walk for 1 or 2 Mondays a month and share the walk with another leader? Please let Hazel know as soon as possible if you are able to help and avoid disappointing the walkers of Rossett.
Come and join us every Tuesday at
Alyn Waters Country Park, Gwersyllt
Meet at the Cafe Cyfle/visitor centre (LL11 4AG) at 10.15am for a 10.30am start. This is a challenging walk over varying terrains in and around the country park. Grade B+/C depending on the route used, 3-4 miles covered over 75-90 minutes.
The Cafe Cyfle/visitor centre is not open due to COVID so just meet in the Car Park
Also there are no public toilets
